MC Containers has joined the official supporters’ network of the Hamburg-based football club FC St. Pauli.
In our opinion, curiosity and appreciation for diverse cultures are important qualities especially for companies that work across country borders. Having the company roots in Europe and the global HQ in Hamburg, we feel that it is important for us to contribute to the local communities wherever we operate.
We have always been big believers in sports and its power to unite people. The mindset of athletes resonates deeply with the company’s business intentions since we, as well as most athletes, value high-quality standards and are always striving to be better than yesterday.
This is why the company has for years supported many talented athletes and sports clubs in Europe. Next in line is FC St. Pauli in Hamburg, Germany.
FC St. Pauli founded in 1910 plays currently in the 2. Bundesliga, Germany’s second-highest division. With its social activities, the club is an important part of the local community of the St. Pauli district and is well known for its enthusiastic fans who are located all over the world. To many FC St. Pauli is more than just a football club as it stands for tolerance and is against racism, sexism, homophobia and fascism.
One of the club’s long-time fans is our very own Matti Gossler, MC Containers’ International Sales Director. ”I have been going to the games ever since I can remember and I’m very proud that MC Containers joined St. Pauli’s supporters’ network to share the values the club and its fans stand for,” Matti says.
