ONE Ocean Network Express has opened their northernmost European container terminal in Oulu, at the premises of Mattson Stevedoring.
ONE OCEAN NETWORK EXPRESS (later referred to as ONE) is one of the world’s largest shipping companies, whose iconic pink containers are a very familiar sight globally.
Previously, the company’s European shipping routes to Finland were limited to the southern port cities of Helsinki, Kotka and Rauma.
However, with the new partnership between ONE and Mattson Stevedoring, ONE’s Magenta containers will now be seen further north at Port of Oulu. There, the skilled team at Oy Mattson Stevedoring Ab handles the loading and unloading of containers, washing and repairing the units as needed before dispatch.
ONE’s arrival to Oulu is significant for businesses in Northern Scandinavia and the Arctic region, as it opens up more export freight opportunities worldwide.
OY MATTSON STEVEDORING AB is a logistics company providing customized warehousing and terminal services at the Port of Oulu in Northern Finland and at their own Vihti depot in Southern Finland. The company handles various cargo types, including general, bulk, and special cargo, leveraging their own terminals, depots, personnel, and lifting machinery to serve both international and local partners.
